FIA WEC: New 2015 calendar revealed with the inclusion of the Nürburgring in Germany

By Johan Laubscher

The 2015 FIA world championship calendars were revealed at the FIA Annual General Assembly and FIA Prize-Giving ceremony in Qatar this week. This included the calendar for the 2015 FIA World Endurance Championship.

The 2015 FIA WEC calendar again includes an eight-round season, but with a number of changes. Silverstone remains the season-opener in April, whilst Bahrain will see the season finale in November. The Le Mans 24 Hours will once again be the highlight of the season in June.

The most notable change to the 2015 FIA WEC calendar has been the exclusion of Interlagos São Paulo in Brazil and the inclusion of the Nürburgring Grand Prix circuit in Germany.

Audi Sport Team Joest will be returning to the 2015 FIA WEC to face-off against the factory LMP1 teams from Toyota, Porsche and Nissan.
